“What is Team Moreira about? Isn’t this Simian Martial Arts?”

Team Moreira is the competition team that we compete as and the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu lineage that we come from.

Rob is a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) under Joe Moreira and this is the heart of everything we do. Rob has also studied many other styles for many years as well (Combat Sambo, Muay Thai, Boxing, Jeet Kune Do, Progressive Fighting Systems, etc). This knowledge combined with his BJJ is the core of the MMA classes. Plus we offer the kids classes, cardio classes and women’s kickboxing. Anyone who trains in our studio is training at Simian Martial Arts. Anyone who studies Brazilian Jiu Jitsu whether they compete or not, is also a part of our Team Moreira family. Anyone who competes in BJJ or MMA, does so under the banner of Team Moreira.
